Biography

Gabrielle Deacon is an illustrator and studio artist from Appalachia. She received her BFA in Studio Art with a focus in Painting at Ohio Wesleyan University in 2024. Gabrielle's recent focus has been on the trauma of digitalization, which has been her exploration, through visual art, of unrestricted internet access and how it has influenced people’s perceptions of sex and relationships. She has most recently exhibited the beginning of this body of work in a solo-show at Edgar-Werner Gallery, and for this show she earned departmental distinction. As Gabrielle continues to improve her work she hopes to exhibit more and develop a professional career as an illustrator and artist.
